They are finally getting to the point of brain development where symbolic thinking it's becoming more automatic, but just at the starting point of being able to use information they learn and apply it to future tasks. That's why they don't always generalize topic to topic- sometimes giving the impression that tandem concepts are discreet and brand new. At 20ish they are inconsistent about applying logic and needs tons of practice! These are a few things off the top of my head. | |
