Mar 14, 2014 at 18:43 | comment | added | dtldarek | @ChrisCunningham I don't remember my exact response, but it was kind of easy - mathematicians are usually bright people and even slight suggestions come across, in such an environment even a small explicit rebuke comes off as severe. It was something along the lines of "next time, to make even stronger impression on your friends, I would suggest ending your pronouncement with appropriate bibliography". Not very elegant, but did the job wonderfully. | |
